Welcome to Newquay Trenance Bowling Club

We celebrated our Centenary Year in 2016 in the present pavilion that was built in 1931. On 17th July 1916 Sir Robert Edgcumbe, with 6 male colleagues, agreed to form Newquay Bowling Club and a small pavilion was built on the same site with a membership of 33 men. We now have six grass rinks tended throughout the year by the green keeper and other volunteers from members of the club.

The first Newquay Tournament was held in 1955, Newquay Trenance Bowling Club was formed in 2002, following the unification of the Men’s and Women’s section that was formed in 1949. This year, in August 2024, we will hold our 68th Annual Open 8 Day Tournament when we will welcome friends from other Cornish clubs and from further afield.
